Sunshine Songtext

Sunshine Songtext

It′s so many years ago
But I can still hear the thunder
Well, I thought I'd learned to let it go
Will tomorrow be different, I wonder?

Looking back, yeah, it′s a shame
That I only knew the rain
Wasn't it high time for some sunshine?
Why were things not normal for heaven's sake?
Oh, couldn′t I have a break
From these thunderclouds and feel just fine?
Feel just fine?

A new season with a clean slate
Hid my colors to keep them from sight
Opened up and removed the mask from my face
Yet the shadows came and dimmed my light twice

Looking back, yeah, it′s a shame
That I only knew the rain
Wasn't it high time for some sunshine?
Why were things not normal for heaven′s sake?
Oh, couldn't I have a break
From these thunderclouds and feel just fine?

Threw my memories into the fire
From hell I rose, my mind rewired
No longer lost in wonder and pain
Sometimes I look over my shoulder
The ice still making my mind colder
Why can′t those thoughts wash away?

Looking back, yeah, it's a shame
That I only knew the rain
Wasn′t it high time for some sunshine?
Why were things not normal for heaven's sake?
Oh, couldn't I have a break
From these thunderclouds and feel just fine?

Some sunshine
To feel just fine
