Never Change Songtext
von Ned LeDoux

Never Change Songtext

I′m just a simple country boy
I never been too hard to please
Faith and God and family will always be
The most important to me
Bow-legged from a childhood in the saddle
A gentle soul and calloused hands
From building fences and branding cattle
Try to wear the badge of a working man

I've got busted in the sun,
Lost my mind on a spell of sage
Seen the lightning strike a snow storm
A devil dance with the blizzard rage
I felt God′s presence on the prarie
Always loved the summer rain
In a world that spins so damn fast
Sure glad I stayed the same
I'll never change

Old habits are the fabric of my life
Like the weathered hat I wear
Was taught to do the best I can
And learnt that life sometimes ain't fair
I′m proud of where I come from
I′ll persevere and endeavour
All things on this earth they can change
But the truth lives on forever

I've got busted in the sun,
Lost my mind on a spell of sage
Seen the lightning strike a snow storm
A devil dance with the blizzard rage
I felt God′s presence on the prarie
Always loved the summer rain
In a world that spins so damn fast
Sure glad I stayed the same
I'll never change

I′ve marvelled at the miracle of new life
In the Spring
The melancholy song of a wild goose on the wing
Good girl throwing winter snow
Better days ahead
The Old West may have changed some
But it sure as hell ain't dead

I′ve got busted in the sun,
Lost my mind on a spell of sage
Seen the lightning strike a snow storm
A devil dance with the blizzard's rage
I felt God's presence on the prarie
Always loved the summer rain
In a world that spins so damn fast
Sure glad I stayed the same
I′ll never change

I′ll never change
