California Plates Songtext
von Nancarrow

Well I got California plates
And one hell of a girl
I′m out in the country listenin' to Merle
Bakersfield, I′m a truck drivin' man
Yeah, one time catch me if you can

'Cause my music comes from honky-tonks, and drinkin′, and girls
Three most important things in this world
Besides Mama

Well I′ve been having too much fun man
I oughta quit
If it was that simple I'd a done it
Sometimes life ain′t that easy ya know
Driftin' from town to town show to show

My music comes from honky-tonks the nights we burn ′em down
Big hearts get broken in this small little town
But I got Mama

Well my music comes from honky-tonks, and drinkin', and girls
Three most important things in this world
So if you find yourself in a honky-tonk
Drinkin′ with some girls out in California
Crank them country jams
