Gilgamesh Songtext
von Mr. Putiferio

So you came in here, exhausted and worn out
What can I give you, on earth, to get home?
Sorcery and kills took away your brother
Maybe a hidden thing I′ll disclose for you
There is a plant like boxthorn
Whose thorns will prick your hand like a rose
You get your hands on that magic plant
You will become a young man again

So is this the plant against any decay
By which a mortal man can attain his survival?
I will bring the plant back to my own land
And have an old man eat it proving it works
"The Old Man Becomes a Young Man"
This is the name I will give the plant
Then I will eat it and soon I will return
To the condition of my youth again

Gilgamesh is riding into the tides
He attaches heavy stones to his feet
Walking down on the seabed proving to himself
How brave he is by completing the quest

Gilgamesh is riding out of the tides
Throws the plant on the shore by the sea
Standing there while a snake carries off the plant that would've
Broken the laws of everlasting life
