zinedine's interlude Songtext

zinedine's interlude Songtext
No dear, I was young once too
Perhaps I can understand something of what you feel
First, well it all seems quite a lark
You like someone, he likes you, everything is fun and affection
Then all at once, you can find yourself in a situation
Where your physical urges fight against your reason
Then those fine thoughts of love and
Affection can suddenly get twisted
I′m not gonna lie, I don't feel hypnotized by outsides
Pick me up right, let me in tight
Hold on, the switch, connect me back on
Give me feedback, is this how you turn on?
Felt rejected, no records seemed to be sold
Left the story untold, steps back, I didn′t know
Consumed by all the politics, you politic and really don't mean shit
Um, seems like you're really just broken
I don′t understand why you never just open
Your mind, your heart, pick me right up apart
Then eat my insides like it′s dinner time
Tell me, do I taste divine?
Did I give you all the vitamins?
Hope I gave you some enlightenment
I know you really excited, man
Eat it up like Juwanna Mann
So far I've been headstrong
My knees weak but the legs long
I can carry the team I swear
But when my determination disappear
I bear a load that no man should have to bear alone
So where does one go when his heart hurts?
Throw it all in his artworks
I′d rather be a starving artist with a legacy
Than ever be a little someone tryna ride the trend
Give me a "what?" if you recognize the tyranny of
Living a lie through material stuff
All the eyes peering through the visage
The online never give me enough
You need more, that's the reason it′s tough
More views, more likes, more love
Like you're dealing with drugs
And more skin so the numbers go up
Do your thang baby, never let a man interrupt
Don′t ignore the people that you corrupt
We're all stuck in this framework, big game, circadian brain
Hurt from the all day same search for a reason
Any reason to believe that maybe I'm as good as he
′Cause him and I both have the same shirt
Unfortunate nobody told you that behind the perfect photo
Is somebody tryna overcome the same hurt
And if you ever take a second to inspect what they′re professing
Hard to miss the disclaimer that should've came first
We seem to be alone together
Just put your phone down, better without
All this falling out the zone now, need to slow down
Tryna tell me I should get myself a Twitter account?
So I can tweet when I′m mad, tweet when I'm sad
Tweet when I′m struggling to free myself
But guess what else I found on the shelf?
Fake news for the fake views
Pure hate for the same dudes
That's tryna make it out the gutter ′til the butter starts to
Slip off their fingers 'til a nigga make a milli all the sudden
Everybody say they love him
Say you ride since the day one
Do you even know where I came from?
I am not convinced
Everybody loves to tell you that they got you
When you're purchasing the bottles
But I ain′t heard from any since
The reason I′m running is just the state of my mind
This is not an isolated occurrence
You're as lonely as I
Conflicted with the self expression
But you can′t find anybody to vibe
So when they ask you how you doing, you lie
Sometimes it's too much
It′s hard to see the phone through the tears in your eyes
You know you got no one to call so you cry
Maybe we can use the media to mediate a human connection
And give the soul a fighting chance to survive
Perhaps I can understand something of what you feel
First, well it all seems quite a lark
You like someone, he likes you, everything is fun and affection
Then all at once, you can find yourself in a situation
