I was thinking about a friend
I was left alone again
you kept me awake
as I couldn′t understand

The way she had to part with him
he's such a decent man


I would′ve appreciated a call
we could talk about it all
I've got some problems of my own
then I thought about the girl
how she thought about the world
if she found it bigger than a shell

even though the club was safe (?)
placed neatly upon her shell
I think my aim is to understand
what really makes man
and if it's fair to say "i am"
and if it′s safe to say "I care"
should I invite him over here
just be silently aware.
