Yeah, look, and pardon my intrusion for this introduction
Battled through accusing them of their assumptions
Though I′m just a man among my situation
I believe it's time to change and make evaluations

They ask me why my songs are introducing heartache
′Cause those are things I felt the most regarding heartbreaks
I hope one day I stop and speak about the good things
But for now, I'll still remain and speak about what would be
Or what could be as a valley paved by your emotions
Or what should be as a livelihood of your devotion


What's the issue is we never made the conversation
What we did and didn′t do was give an explanation
A reasoning of why we couldn′t fix our problems
We'd rather find an issue than instead just solve them

Alternative was leaving, find a shelter elsewhere
I still wonder what you do among your useless healthcare
I promise you I still stay on the streets of Dogwood
That girl gon′ love you, Dev, I really think they all should
But sadly I just have this certain fear of losing
Losing girls who get the man they want 'cause they′re who's choosing
