Setback Songtext

It′s not the fault of the Mercator
I've been watching you on the screen
I don′t see why this helps
But time will tell
Until then we'll disagree

It's a setback maybe we can say that it′s fine
I know we probably won′t, but as of lately we might
Cuz I'm a death trap, safety never seems to align
With what I′m wanting to do, and now they're grounding the flight

If I′d of known that maybe none of this would apply
I could have left it alone, you could have swallowed your pride
But you can't quite just let it go
No you can′t quite just make it home

I was in Stockholm thinking maybe something had changed
That you gathered your thoughts that you had something to say
I was a plot hole in whatever plan you had made
I never thought I could be, an unexpected mistake

But it was thoughtful of you to remember the day
Because for better or worse we both got choices to make
But you can't quite just let it go
No you can't quite just make it home

It′s not the fault of the Mercator
I′ve been watching you on the screen
I don't see why this helps
But time will tell until then we′ll disagree
And no you won't like my behavior
Or all the black and white TVs
I just need someone else to ruin everything

It was a setback maybe we can say that it′s fine
I was in Stockholm, you were out of reasons to lie
But if you could just let it go
Yeah if you could just make it home
If I'm a death trap only when our forces collide
Then it was thoughtful of you to remember the line
But if you could just let it go
Then we both just might make it home

It′s not the fault of the Mercator
I've been watching you on the screen
I don't see why this helps
But time will tell until then we′ll disagree
And no you won′t like my behavior
Or all the black and white TVs
I just need someone else to ruin everything
