Desert Mouse Songtext
von Men with Feelings

The burning heat and an empty bottle
Nothing to eat and a life full of trouble
That night on the dune he was looking at the moon
Shining in the distance, could it be a lagoon? He packed some seeds and he headed out east
Tired and hungry, but he made it at least
That place was cold, he was not pleased to see
That there was nothing for a little desert mouse to eat

All this time he was running away
Making up excuses why he couldn′t stay
He wasn't even honest to himself this way
He was running away, he was running away

All this time he was running away
Making up excuses why he couldn′t stay
He wasn't even honest to himself this way
He was running away, he was running away
