My Doing Songtext

This fall and its colorful death
The trees and I give all we have left
Been working myself to the bone
But I feel my doing′s never done

The soft tick of a bike spoke
The sharp edge of the plateau
Endless rain in Colorado
I endure so I'll be more
So i′ll be more

Where the water sounds like wind
And the wind sounds like a whisper
Still can't tell which star's the dipper
Still can′t see what sews us together

The sharp prick of a rose thorn
The cold creek right before dawn
Twelve whole miles on this trail till i′m home
How I hike when I'm so worn
When i′m so worn

I wander to be found
I work to be tired
I look up and feel small
I walk till I feel lighter
A weed among weeds
Just blooming with the flowers
Landlocked and free
Endless golden hours
Golden hours

This fall and its colorful death
The trees and I give all we have left
Been working myself to the bone
But i feel my doings never done
