Caput Mortuum Songtext
von Mehenet

Escaped our yesterdays
And yet they have given way
To abandoned scaffolding
Left bare upon the skyline
Denied the heights they would reach
Or the shelter they would mother

Ex Nihilo Nihil Fit

The Under Painting is showing through
Grey pigment putrefied
And yet the skeleton somehow more true
Abandoned by its painter
God
The world is a masterpiece
Struck dumb by turpentine
For the soul
The frame cannot contain
The emulsifying spirit

Drowned in Water
Corrodes the soul
Yet the stone gets hotter
Bathed in VITRIOL

The world is a masterpiece
Struck dumb by turpentine
For the soul the Frame cannot contain
The emulsifying spirit

Now raise the Gorgons Head
With the Star so Malefic
Poison the Waters of Return
To invert the Runes Horrific

They Raised the Gorgons Head
To the Stars they′re so Malefic
Poisoned Waters of Return
Inverts the Runes Horrific

The world is a masterpiece
Struck dumb by turpentine
For the soul the Frame cannot contain
The emulsifying spirit

We Raised the Gorgons Head
And now the Star they're so
Malefic
We poisoned the
Waters of Return
And inverted the Runes Horrific
