Please check, approve and file away
From now on everything will change
I don′t know how but it will change
And if our days they seem the same
That's just because they're made that way

It′s merely right but it isn′t right
Why don't we take a step aside?

All the stairs we had to crawl
Now we′re up against the wall
There's no need to hold the floor
Lose our grip and down we fall

You know I′m definitely trying
To get through to you in time
For all the plans I have in mind
(It will take some time)


For after all I have to face the fact
That I wouldn't go for things like that
If I had to do them all alone

Why don′t we step out for a while?
If we go we go in style
It's just one step into the light
All the stairs we had to crawl
Now we're up against the wall
There′s no need to hold the floor
Lose our grip and down we fall

Now we′ve been through all this trouble
Here's a chance our luck will double
So be sure you don′t throw that away
Our days were only passing through
We know of nothing else to do

You would have wanted to stay that way
Until the very very last day
So it's up to us to cut the ties
It′s up to us to break the ice
To open up our sleepy eyes


There's no need for us to crawl
Wall, floor, ceilings, desks and halls
We′ll no longer touch the floor
Lose our grip and up we fall
And I'm not just whistling Dixie
We can start all over next week
And our days will never be the same
