Spooky Songtext
von Martha Reeves

In the cool of the evening
When everything is gettin′ kinda groovy
You call me up and ask me
If I would like to go with you and see a movie, mmm

First, I say "no"
I've got some plans for the night
And then I stop and say "alright"
Lovin′ can be crazy with a spooky old lady like me

I always keep you guessin'
You never seem to know what I am thinkin', mmm
And if a fella looks at me
You can bet my little eye will be a-winkin′

You get so confused
′Cause you don't know where I stand
Until I smile and hold your hand
Lovin′ can be crazy with a spooky old lady like me
I'm spooky

Yeah, when I decided one day
To stop this little game that I was playin′, yeah
Tell me all the things in your heart
That you've been dyin′ to be sayin'

How I had been like a ghost
That had haunted your dreams
Then you proposed to me
On Halloween
Lovin' can be crazy with a spooky old lady like me
Spooky

Spooky, that′s what you say
You call me spooky
Spooky, that′s what you say
You say I'm spooky
You never seem to know just what I′m thinkin'
