Close to You Songtext
von Mark Kendall

I was walking down the stormy road
Through love and sin
I was searching for a better life
Thinking, honey how you been?

I was talking to my preacher
Just the other day
You know he′s my favorite teacher
'Cause he′s got a lot to say

Oh, I'd like to think of you before the change
It's a shame
I′d like to think of you from yesterday
Love to remember when we were the same
′Cause it brings me close to you, baby
The touch of your hand
Made me understand what it means to be close to you
Baby, this heart of mine
Makes your love light shine

Well I was looking out my window
When all the stars took their places
And I picked the one to bring my dream to life
And fill those empty spaces

I'd like to think of you before the change
It′s a shame
I'd like to think of you from yesterday
Love to remember when we were the same
′Cause it brings me close to you, baby
The touch of your hand
Made me understand what it means to be close to you
Baby, this heart of mine
Makes your love light shine

It's not a destination
Just a feeling inside
Like a revelation
And my heart won′t lie
No, no

What it means to be close to you
Talk about close to you
Close to you
Close to you
