Arcades Songtext
von Marc Valentine

The Arcades are all boarded up
The summer′s down the drain
The Lovers in the parking lot
They'll never meet again
The Desolation on the wind
Destruction in my brain

That′s the way it goes
It goes Around

I saw you by the café door
The teacups and the stains
The colours and distorted lights
Reflections in the rain
And then I think I understood
That you could never stay

That's the way it goes
It goes Around
That's the way it goes
It goes Around

Somewhere there′s a place
Where this darkness has no name
So in another life
We could get it right
Next time

The rats are on the second floor
And Orpheus is slain
The tenants and the debutantes
Will vanish or decay
Yet somewhere in my memory
Those gypsy hymns remain

That′s the way it goes
It goes Around
That's the way it goes
It goes Around
That′s the way it goes
It goes Around
Yeah, that's the way it goes
It goes Around
