Shoebox Songtext
von Mandy Manala

Shoebox Songtext

Paper cup, length of the string
Needle and thread and a pair of scissors
Pen and paper and the night ahead

Someone whispered, someone spoke
Someone sang to me from the corner of the room
Like a memory, am I dreaming?
Am I dead or have I mind to sleep?

Through the shoebox in the witching hour
They won′t let me sleep
Through the shoebox in the spirit world
There's no place too deep for me
Ooh, too deep for me

Writing letters to the beyond
Or anyone that will respond
Pen to paper, thoughts in my head

Someone whispers, someone speaks
Someone singing from the corner of my room
Is it evil? Am I dreaming?
Or am I dead? Is it just in my head?

Through the shoebox in the witching hour
They won′t let me sleep
Through the shoebox in the spirit world
There's no place too deep for me
Ooh, too deep for me

Calling out to the beyond
Gazing out through the night
All I hear is death's deadly fright
Through the shoebox in a fever dream
Vultures inside hear the final knock
All I hear is my own lonely scream

Shoebox spirits, shoebox dreaming
Shoebox thoughts, shoebox murder in my head
Sleepless nights, all I hear is silence
Because I′m dead
