Magdeline Songtext
von Mad haPPy

Good morning sunshine
Good morning dandelion
Good morning cheap wine
Good morning Magdalene
Good morning strychnine
Good morning achy spine
Good morning noontime
Good morning Magdalene

Underwears fall from the bureau drawer
Dresses, jeans and magazines strewn all about the floor

Good morning Monday afternoon
Good morning Monday afternoon

Collages made from pictures of teen idols
Peel at the corners revealing unstained walls
It smells of incense, jasmine and sandalwood
Burnt stems and ashes adorn the oven hood

An open window lets in a summer breeze
A radio sings of tomorrow′s possibilities

Good morning Monday afternoon
Good morning Monday afternoon

Good morning clothesline
Good morning goddess shrine
Good morning orange rind
Good morning Magdalene

The phone rings two times
Then the machine picks up
"Hey, it's Magdalene
Leave a message if you want"

Hello, it′s Jesus
Mom said you called
I've really got to touch you child
Be headed down there soon

Good morning Monday afternoon
Good morning Monday afternoon
Good morning Monday afternoon
