So I drove out to Percy Priest

I'll give it a couple days, and then I′ll call the cops
Say that I ain't seen him since he walked out with a Zebco rod
Try to cry a tear or two when I′m interviewed on the local news
Join the search crew, beg 'em not to call it off
Do everything a heart-broke wife would do except tell the truth
