Empty Rooms Songtext

Empty Rooms Songtext
I look on life with mixed feelings
I′ve more than I deserve
Yet I've no rhyme, no purpose
I′m an empty room
The windows, my eyes, and my lungs are open
I draw the curtains at night that no one may see how empty I am
The ceiling is my limitation
The artificial light of the lamp is the truth of my shade
And sometimes the truth hurts me The paintings are my past
The clock, my present
The door, my future
It should take me a long, long, long time
To open that door, if/when did I ever do?
Should I succeed in passing from this room
I should become timeless, shameless, limitless
I should become truth
I should become life
I′ve more than I deserve
Yet I've no rhyme, no purpose
I′m an empty room
The windows, my eyes, and my lungs are open
I draw the curtains at night that no one may see how empty I am
The ceiling is my limitation
The artificial light of the lamp is the truth of my shade
And sometimes the truth hurts me The paintings are my past
The clock, my present
The door, my future
It should take me a long, long, long time
To open that door, if/when did I ever do?
Should I succeed in passing from this room
I should become timeless, shameless, limitless
I should become truth
I should become life
