Local Painters Songtext

Local Painters Songtext
Pottery laid on the handmade quilt
And all the trinkets that were quietly built
While sitting on the porch
And watching the waves come in
Hours of the day crawl slowly by
She tends her garden to use up time
And lies upon the couch
Next to where he had been
Widow wakes up early morning
Does her best to clear her mind
But nothing to clear it with anymore
Memories form for her no more
She′s lonely
On Tuesday morning she walks to the mill
Gets Jones soda and sees what they sell
The local painters that
She's patronized for years
Look out to see that the dam is gone
That hurricane came and pushed it along
Destroyed the pond that she
Grew up swimming in
Widow longs to fill her mourning
Tapestry she sews with love
But no one to give it to anymore
No one to greet her at the door
She′s lonely
And all the trinkets that were quietly built
While sitting on the porch
And watching the waves come in
Hours of the day crawl slowly by
She tends her garden to use up time
And lies upon the couch
Next to where he had been
Widow wakes up early morning
Does her best to clear her mind
But nothing to clear it with anymore
Memories form for her no more
She′s lonely
On Tuesday morning she walks to the mill
Gets Jones soda and sees what they sell
The local painters that
She's patronized for years
Look out to see that the dam is gone
That hurricane came and pushed it along
Destroyed the pond that she
Grew up swimming in
Widow longs to fill her mourning
Tapestry she sews with love
But no one to give it to anymore
No one to greet her at the door
She′s lonely
