Firehaven Songtext
von Light This City
Firehaven Songtext
This planet is a single sea
And we have crashed into a solitary island
The shores roared like bullet ships against the waves
The rain comes and it cuts and shaves
And the only source of help is running
It′s no way this pandemic should stay
I must find shelter for my vacation
A few more hours and this I will drown
When I think
Drops of lead drilled up through my skull
Cut away at my ears, push the color from my skin
They want control
So I lay down my neck and spine
Just praying for my body to go numb
Once I did have friends on earth
When drowns the sun I prayed for rain
I can't even lift my face to curse the piercing sky
Millions of healthy precious jewels
Are slowly driving me insane
And I would kill a man
Just to feel the pains of hell
Let me cry
Once I did have friends on earth
When drowns the sun I prayed for rain
I can′t even lift my face to curse the piercing sky
Millions of healthy precious jewels
Are slowly driving me insane
And I would kill a man
Just to feel the pains of hell
Let me cry
A spitting drizzle into the soil
From steaming angry clouds
Melting away
Steam coils and smashing champions
Waves of the frantic
Sloppy after heavy rains
Droughts water down bodies
Disappeared in new plains
Downed out after coming out of the rain
Downed out after coming out of the rain
I thought I saw the sun's dome
Radiating not far ahead
My eyes transfixed, I reached for it
But the veil had discovered my bloodshed
Lying here is all we ever are
Lying here is no use
Drink all you want
Somewhere in this single sea
Maybe they have a lattice of their own
Where they take you when they find you
Use and abjure, chained to
Drowned in torture, water is a drug
I bleed and fight to hold my breath
Till I find this place
Buried underwater
Behind the streets
I felt the storm and now I can't escape
And it doesn′t look so holy when it′s raining
And we have crashed into a solitary island
The shores roared like bullet ships against the waves
The rain comes and it cuts and shaves
And the only source of help is running
It′s no way this pandemic should stay
