Spotlight Songtext
von Lauren Patel

′Cause the party's just starting
And you don′t want to miss it
The party's just starting
Almost so close you can kiss it
Don't wait for tomorrow
Be happy today
And all of those stupid people
Who cares what they say?

I know it′s not easy
But I know you′re strong
I know that somewhere
They're playing your song
Out of the darkness
Into the spotlight
Everyone′s waiting, Jamie
In a place where you belong

'Cause somewhere′s a party
That can't start without you
Somewhere the DJ
Is playing your song

When the curtain′s going up
All eyes on you
When the lights are going down
All eyes on you
When the crowds are showing up
All eyes on you
'Cause the lights are going down
All eyes on you

Hey, can you hear them? (When the curtain's going up)
That′s your audience waiting (All eyes on you)
There′ll be queues round the theatre (When the lights are going down)
For all the shows you're creating (All eyes on you)
And maybe there′ll be curtains (When the curtain's going up)
Hung in velvet maroon (All eyes on you)
And maybe there′ll be ice cream (When the lights are going down)
In a tiny tub with a built-in spoon (All eyes on you)

Out of the darkness (All eyes)
Into the spotlight (All eyes)
Everyone's waiting, Jamie
′Cause that's where you belong
And somewhere's a party (All eyes on you)
That can′t start without you (All eyes on you)
Somewhere the DJ
Is playing your song

When the curtain′s going up
When the lights are going down (Playing your song)
When the crowds are showing up

'Cause the party′s just starting
