Sometimes Why? Songtext

Sometimes Why? Songtext
I came across your picture the other day
It was still in good shape but the corners frayed
Some of the colors are brighter, some have faded
Glad I saved it
To see you again was beautiful, but strange
A rush of feelings, the scent, the ocean before evening
Your hair, the shampoo you were using
Your grin of contented amusement
Smiled down from above as I laughed at something stupid
Your hair was long and it tickled my face
That memory lives in a sacred space
Your skin was glowing, your shirt hung
A little off your shoulder showing
The contrast, one black bra strap
The sky crystal blue behind you
Only one lonely cloud marred the view
I got a shiver the way your eyelashes made your eyes sparkle
Like a pair of precious soft stones in a river
I leave this Polaroid as a gift on your headstone
Next to the one that someone else left
I came across your picture the other day
It was still in good shape but the corners frayed
Some of the colors are brighter, some have faded
Glad I saved it
To see you again was beautiful, but strange
Did I take this picture? It looks so amateur
But in a certain way all it did was add character
You smiled so genuine, you looked so happy
Time in your life when only good things happened
Little blurry but your spirit shone through clear
Your big brown eyes shining like root beer
The sun picked up the lighter hues in your hair
People looking at us crazy, as if you ever cared
Reminds me of how much fun I used to have with you
Voice is hella hoarse from laughing all afternoon
On that day I discovered who you are
What would you have became if it had gotten that far?
Not sure why you had a Band-Aid on your arm
But I remember thinking even that gave you charm
Gonna leave this Polaroid as a gift on your headstone
Next to one someone else left
Where or when or how or why we don′t know, can't know
It′s so random
A-E-I-O-U and sometimes Y-O-Y-O-Y
