Glory Days Songtext
von Kissin’ Dynamite

I was born a dreamer
A hungry heart
Dancing on a razor blade
Had not much to believe in
But knew that we would
Get out and leave this place

Because something
Was waiting there for us
Won′t forget how we ran
Through the summer rain
And the promises we made
I knew something
Was waiting there for us
I would trade all tomorrows
If I could
For one more yesterday

I was just a kid
With a burning heart
Livin' on a dream
Underneath the stars
Take me back
To the glory days
Didn′t give a damn
If we'd crash and burn
Feeling like we owned
The whole wide world
Take me back
To the glory days
Back to the glory days

We were traveling
Like gypsies
With egos
Even bigger
Than our hair
We would sleep
In the back seat
A penny short
Only lived on love and air

And forever
Was such an easy word
We were wild and dumb
And way too young
But damn
Those were the days

I was just a kid
With a burning heart
Livin' on a dream
Underneath the stars
Take me back
To the glory days
Didn′t give a damn
If we′d crash and burn
Feeling like we owned
The whole wide world
Take me back
To the glory days
Back to the glory days

Maybe we can't rewind
The years that are gone
But in every song
There′s a road back home
For everyone, oh

Just close your eyes
And you can drift away
Our memories
Will take us back
Back to the glory days

Maybe all we needed
Was this dream
Just a bunch of kids
Giving everything
Take me back
To the glory days

I was just a kid
With a burning heart
Livin' on a dream
Underneath the stars
Take me back
To the glory days
Back to the
Glory days
Yeah, Yeah, Yeah, Yeah
To The Glory Days
Take me back
Take me back
To the Glory Days
