Washington Songtext
von Kinley

When the birds of a feather
Flocked together to sing their freedom song
Some men got scared and even dared to say that the words were wrong
But the womxn knew a time had come for them to be heard
And the power was always inside of them
So they sang the song they learned

Everybody′s born to be free, be who you want to be. I'm being me
With our feet on the ground
No we′re not backing down, 'cause the time is now
Oh Washington I'll walk with you every day of the week
Oh Washington I′ll walk with you every day of the week

We′re not going to fight, no we come in peace
But we're being held back from our greatest self, we need release
Some voices are quiet but we′ll still be heard
'cause our words are strong and everyone knows love conquers

Everybody′s born to be free, be who you want to be. I'm being me
With our feet on the ground
No we′re not backing down, 'cause the time is now
Oh Washington I'll walk with you every day of the week
Oh Washington I′ll walk with you every day of the week

Oh Washington I′ll walk with you every day of the week
Oh Washington I'll walk with you every day of the week
Oh Washington I′ll walk with you every day of the week
Oh Washington I'll walk with you every day of the week
