Running Songtext

Running Songtext
Every day I wake up at eight o clock
And check the online obituary notice
Before I make myself a cup of coffee
After that I put on my running shoes
They′re too tight around the upper foot
But I've already used them so I can′t go back
And trade them for another model
And I'm too shy to ask for a return
So I just keep on running
I keep on running
Running until it hurts
I just keep on running
I keep on running
Running until it hurts
And then I keep on running some more
Last year I spent all my days in the woods
I was unemployed so I found it to
Be a constructive thing to do
To pass time and keep the darkness away
But one day a kid I knew
He walked into the forest and he never came back
Now I don't dare being alone anymore
When I′m scared of my own thoughts
There′s no place to go when I feel lost
So I just keep on running
I keep on running
Running on concrete
I keep on running
I keep on running
Running until my knees hurt
And then I keep on running some more
And check the online obituary notice
Before I make myself a cup of coffee
After that I put on my running shoes
They′re too tight around the upper foot
But I've already used them so I can′t go back
And trade them for another model
And I'm too shy to ask for a return
So I just keep on running
I keep on running
Running until it hurts
I just keep on running
I keep on running
Running until it hurts
And then I keep on running some more
Last year I spent all my days in the woods
I was unemployed so I found it to
Be a constructive thing to do
To pass time and keep the darkness away
But one day a kid I knew
He walked into the forest and he never came back
Now I don't dare being alone anymore
When I′m scared of my own thoughts
There′s no place to go when I feel lost
So I just keep on running
I keep on running
Running on concrete
I keep on running
I keep on running
Running until my knees hurt
And then I keep on running some more
