Check engine light came on in my pickup truck
So I took a piece of black tape and I covered it up
I knew there was a problem underneath the hood
But I just kept on driving a little faster than I should
I told myself that it would be okay

My "really nothing's wrong here" went up in smoke

The problem was the choice that I made
Why did I choose not to notice
What was right there in my face
