Winter Songtext
von Kermit Lynch

Winter Songtext

And it′s sure been a cold, cold winter
And the wind ain't been blowing from the south
It′s sure been a cold, cold winter
And the light of love is all burned out
It's sure been a hard, hard winter
My feet been dragging 'cross the ground
And I hope it′s gonna be a long, hot summer
And the light of love will be burning bright

And I wish I′d been out in California
When the lights on all the Christmas trees went out
But I've been burning my bell, book and candle
And the restoration plays have all gone ′round

It's sure been a cold, cold winter
My feet they′re dragging 'cross the ground
And the fields have all been brown and fallow
And the springtime takes the long way around

And I wish I′d been out in Stone Canyon
When the lights on all the Christmas trees went out
But I've been burning my bell, book and candle
And the restoration plays have all gone 'round

Sometimes I think about you all night long, baby
Sometimes I cry about you
Sometimes I wanna keep you warm at night
Sometimes I wanna burn a candle for you
Sometimes I wanna wrap my coat around you
Sometimes I wanna hold you all night long

Well, well, well, well, well, well
