A moonless night
Street lamps and darkness
Played with light
Under the spell of mist
The whispering branches bent
Into the shadows
Into the wind
The set had begun
A gentle waltz
Easily flowing
Around the quiet talk
Small tables crowding close
The flickering candles burned
Out of the shadows
She had returnedHer slight figure moved Her dress dark blue
Back in the corner
Almost in view
My fingers floated on
The melodies fell down
Then she was gone
As I turned around
The moonless blue night
Had deepened more
While softly sighing
Waiting outdoors
I knew there was no use
She′d disappeared once more
