One time I met a holy man
He reached out for my hand
He raised his voice and told me then
To take him to my land
And as I brought him to my house
He asked me for some food
My wife she cooked a lavish feast
I poured him wine so good

The holy man said
You′ll be blessed
Lord may be with you
Now let me get to rest
For I am tired too


The next day as I woke up
I found my home in flames
The holy man was gone and I
Heard my wife scream in pain
I broke a window, saved myself
Tried to put out the blaze
My life, my home, all that I owned
Burned down that very day

And in the backyard
My children laid
Their nightgowns oh so red
He laughed before he took a knife
To cut my children dead

Now that I am a broken man
To church I go each day
And for the tortured souls of my
