I wish I could fold up and fit in an envelope
And post myself to wherever you are
You′d open it up with a frown and fear of debt collectors words
But I'd pop out and smile

And you′d laugh and say "Oh, what a nice surprise"
And there'd be no more goodbyes


When my day is stale I'll do my best to brighten up the skies
Then watch the moon reflect off your blue eyes
I′d say "Don′t drown yourself over a sore heart
Nor battle with the waves
There are many who have died at sea"

And you'd look up and say "My God you are right"
And there′d be no more goodbyes

I've got my bicycle let′s just make a clean escape
Let's pedal as fast as we can
By this time tomorrow we could be far, far away
Let′s never look back again

And we'd dance by the light of the moon, (the moon)

You′d look at me and say "what a perfect night"
