Marble floors cracked under weighted dreams
Cogs in the walls hum mechanical schemes
Brick by brick we built its might
Lit the fire surrendered the night

Oh the king of the clockwork palace
A shadow crowned by endless malice
He speaks in silence his law unwinds
A monarch born from the gears of minds


Each coin we cast a piece of our soul
A throne of contracts in trembling hands
But the king is none and the king is all
A specter ruling an endless hall

A clock without a face counts debts unpaid
Invisible hands serve the king they made
The palace thrives on fear and greed
A machine of hunger that knows no need
