Stepping lightly
I find myself asking
What can this heavy heart do
So tangled in you

But I′m a flower on the wall
'Cos there′s been no romancing
I'm about to fall
Like the leaves of late summer
Life could not be duller
There's no colour at all


We could be dancing
Let′s tumble and twirl
I find myself yearning
Your smile fading
Like yesterday′s girl
Your steps are an echo
Gone down the hallway
Not looking behind you
Into another world

I will uncurl before your eyes
My life is a horizon
Not yet touched inside me
Like I saw

I can imagine how it could be
I find myself asking
Why follow these dreams that fade
So I'm saying farewell to the saddest sight
As I wipe all the dust from around my eyes
