A drink too many and a pretty face

Stupid clumsy clichés all used up
All those phrases speak so slick and easy
They roll like thunder and beat hollow like an empty drum

And it′s not enough, it's not enough
Too many questions that we dare not answer

And yes, we're tired, yes, we′re lonely


And as the days crawl by distracted
The grand designs seem sham and aimless
But we still play the game because we made it
