Rough Time Blues Songtext
von Jontavious Willis

Somebody give me quarter
So I can change it out for this ′ole rusty dime
Somebody give me quarter
So I can change it out for this 'ole rusty dime

I′ll still have 15 more cents to put on these hard times of mine

Times so rough that a buzzard can't find a job
Times so hard that a buzzard can't find a job
Stuff done got so rough I′ll be forced to steal and rob

Use to take $100 you′d need help taking your groceries back

Use to take a c note and you'd need help taking your groceries back

Now you take the same Franklin you can put everything in one sack

(and gotta pay for the sack)

I′d trade hard times for my grandma last cooked meal
I'd trade hard times for my grandma last cooked meal

It′s the twenties again almost time for a brand new deal

Just as sure as a dollar bill says in "God We Trust"
If things don't get no better I′ll be forced to take the bus
It's hard time, rough time, tough times man it's all the same
Everybody pointing fingers but I just want to know who to blame
