Day Tripper Songtext

Day Tripper Songtext
But I got a really great hotel room here in Las Vegas
Fancy, yeah, it′s got a phone in the bathroom
Yeah, I'm calling everybody I know from the bathroom
It′s like, "Bob, it's Gary. Taking a
Dump, thinking of you, buddy, yeah"
And that minibar in the room here
Oh, yeah, that's reasonable, isn′t it?
You open that door, you gotta make that choice, you know
Do I put the kids through college or get the macadamia nuts?
Oh, man, but the weird thing
The last time I was here in Las Vegas
There was an earthquake here in Vegas
Yeah, did you know that it could even happen?
It was really funny too
′Cause it was only a four on the Richter scale
And I'm from Southern California, folks
And four is nothing
Four is like somebody bumping into you
You′re like, "What? Oh, shit, earthquake"
People from Nebraska were like
"Son of a bitch, end of the world, ahh"
But I got to thinking about this
You know if there was ever a huge earthquake here in Las Vegas
I mean, so big to where everything fell to the ground
You know what the only thing left standing would be?
That machine that pushes those coins to the edge
Yeah, them fucking, those coins would
Be right on that edge, wouldn't they?
That is a bullshit machine, isn′t it?
It sucks you in
You walk by and you think
"Oh my God, there's like ninety dollars in quarters right on the edge"
But they don′t tell you
It's ninety dollars crazy glued right on the edge
You guys have been great
Thanks so much for coming in
We'll see you next time, good night
Fancy, yeah, it′s got a phone in the bathroom
Yeah, I'm calling everybody I know from the bathroom
