Sun sits still again
stars fall from the sky
the quiet before the storm
the man warned me of this
his words rang through my head
but I am not convinced

and I am waiting
and we′ve left it all behind

Dust rises again
clings to guilty faces
blame for their neglect


all our self concerns
drove us into the ground
with handcuffs on our hearts
we took the bait then fell
abandoning all hope

and I am waiting
and we've left it all behind
the solstice is coming
and the longest night begins again
