You were picking at all of my scars

But then the room got dark
I was simmering while you spoke

Not anymore

We felt the boundaries born to break the bonds between
Barricading our outlines, bending symmetry
And distance dancing around the lines we swore to spare
With no light leaking through that lingering devil's stare

So when the vines took hold
We were scrambling to be free
All our lines turned to gold
And we lost our imagery
But then the room got dark
I was simmering while you spoke
And all those things I never said
Are things that you don't deserve to know
