Constellations Songtext
von Jess Jocoy

Constellations Songtext

I crave the mornings
Where you wake up and it′s storming
That sky she has her way of showing off

There's men who think they′re kings
And kings who think they're gods
But I think there's nothing wrong with feeling small

So if you should be needing me
I′ll be out in my backyard looking up
Just drawing constellations
Won′t even need to name them
No, no one thought to give me that job

I've since quit grieving
For the passing of the seasons
October keeps her hand held tight in mine

Their love is so confusing
Seems you′re either used or using
Or losing out 'cause someone crossed the line

So help me feel everything
And let us say we had one undisguised encounter
It′s been found that hope abounds
When you're trusting that tomorrow will be kinder

Been digging up the soil
From the garden in my soul
Dug a hole for planting flowers made to bloom
So plant some of your wisdom
And plant some of your joy

And I′ll be better off for getting to know you
Yes, I'll be better off for getting to know you
