Daystar Songtext
von Jeff Martin

This song is for Django

I am surrounded by a light that shines
In your eyes I see my soul′s reprise
There's so many things I need to tell you
There′s so many things I need to show you
But that could take a while

Did you know that I'd always love you daystar?
There's angels above you always daystar
I′ve waited so long to see you I knew that you′d always be here
I've waited so long to meet you daystar
Have you travelled far?
Have you travelled far?
Now listen

I have seen daylight rising like a dove
And the edges of twilight in the skies above
But nothing compares with what you gave me
I didn′t know that you could save me now
You knew all along

In the tree of life I see
All those ancient mysteries
But they pale in the shadow of your soul
Don't you know how I need you?
I really need you

And I will always love you daystar
There′s angels above you always daystar
I've waited so long to see you I knew that you′d always be here
I've waited so long to meet you daystar
Have you travelled far?
