Devil’s Arms Songtext

Devil’s Arms Songtext

Monday morning 8am, throw my jeans on and slip on my Vans
I′m going to catch the commuter tram, see the sorry people marching again
Why must we live our lives in a huff, bliss in the form of the cigarettes we've puffed, guns and money we can′t get enough, I see no glory in the moment I'm in.
Why must I side with one or the other, sacrifice time well spent with my mother, hear on the news that we're killing each other
I see no glory in the moment I′m in

Night oh night, night oh night
Won′t you come and rest your bones in the Devil's arms tonight

Cheers to the folks no worries no plans, caught in the moment no blood on their hands, I say come on girl tonight we dance under the full moon that′s a rising again
Why must we put our faith in a bible, Believe in the fiction thats past by our eye balls, be kind to the people who run when they're liable, or directly face the trouble they′re in.
Why must I side with one or the other, sacrifice time well spent with my father, hear on the news of the famine and slaughter
I see no glory in the world i'm in

Night oh night, night oh night
Won′t you come and rest your bones in the Devil's arms tonight

We'll find solutions too far down the road
Pick up the pieces when the body′s too broke
Women and children no future no hope
I see no promise at the end of the rope
Why must I side with one or the other, sacrifice time well spent with my brother, hear on the news that a man killed his daughter
I see no glory in the world we′re in

Night oh night, night oh night
Won't you come and rest your bones in the Devil′s arms tonight
