Yarrow Songtext
von Jacques Rocque
Yarrow Songtext
Everything you ever said
The color′s running clear by the river's bend
The guesswork of your body held by clothespins
The curl of your hair and the birch and the work we put in
All in hopes to forget
The smell of dried yarrow and envelopes
The round of the book′s broken spine
The shape your words took when you spoke them
And the shape when I used them as mine
Running the night streets
Rabid dog, chase the bottle
Eyes without a face
Still insists she'll never follow
Doll eyed porcelain
A knife at every back
Scrape the flesh from my bones
At least we're not alone
You close your eyes
Open head wound
Your life was never meant to bloom but writhe
Slither into a pilot episode you can′t help but dream was about you
(Everything you ever said)
What about you pouring everything you have in the things you love?
(Returning, a haunting, stalking your prey)
Though the hands are cupped we carry what we can
(I promised I′d never be broken again)
All things considered I don't feel different
All things considered I′d rather misinterpret
The color′s running clear by the river's bend
The guesswork of your body held by clothespins
The curl of your hair and the birch and the work we put in
All in hopes to forget
The smell of dried yarrow and envelopes
The round of the book′s broken spine
The shape your words took when you spoke them
And the shape when I used them as mine
Running the night streets
Rabid dog, chase the bottle
Eyes without a face
Still insists she'll never follow
Doll eyed porcelain
A knife at every back
Scrape the flesh from my bones
At least we're not alone
You close your eyes
Open head wound
Your life was never meant to bloom but writhe
Slither into a pilot episode you can′t help but dream was about you
(Everything you ever said)
What about you pouring everything you have in the things you love?
(Returning, a haunting, stalking your prey)
Though the hands are cupped we carry what we can
(I promised I′d never be broken again)
All things considered I don't feel different
All things considered I′d rather misinterpret
