I′ve been singing stupid love songs for far too long
The feeling's far too wrong
I′m honestly a bit too late to exterminate
Anxieties past and present of love

So when I found that letter of hems and haws
It made me feel a little better despite my flaws
And although I'm not a saint anyway
That doesn't mean I shouldn′t try to make a brighter day

Handmade love letters don′t make broken hearts better
It always fades away into shades of gray
But yet I wish to believe that there's true love out for me
Somewhere in the big worldwide sea
My heart′s eternal ecstasy

I′d count my blessings but I'm close to zero
