Arms Dealer Songtext
von InVadeRJ

I′m an average member of society
I sit on the board of a world famous university
Growing our funding reserves is my top priority
If not for me, the money'd be sitting around and just losing its value
So I try to

Invest in everything under the sun
Put ethics aside, man, they′re no fun
I'm looking for profit
And a war has just begun

I don't care how many thousand are dead
′Cause money tastes better when it′s soaked blood red
I don't care how many kids they killed
As long as their dividends pay the bills
It′s perfectly legal, despite your resentment
The arms dealer's getting my investment

I′m supporting an important local industry
Reports of war crimes far away mean nothing to me
The arms dealer guarantees
They're following international law, you see
And the government agrees

Look at the bigger picture! Can′t you see?
We need to support them publicly
They often commission our services
They fund us significantly

I don't care how many thousand are dead
'Cause money tastes better when it′s soaked blood red
I don′t care how many kids they killed
As long as their patronage pays the bills
It's perfectly legal, despite your resentment
The arms dealer′s getting my investment

I've been dealing with activists like you for my whole career
I promise to change to make you go away
You′ll forget the cause in a year
I'm not the one who′s breaking the law
I'm not the one who's doing time
If you care about people′s rights so much
Let me exercise mine!

I don′t care how many thousand are dead
'Cause money tastes better when it′s soaked blood red
I don't care how many kids they killed
As long as their dividends pay the bills
It′s perfectly legal, despite your resentment
The arms dealer's getting my investment
Yeah, the arms dealer′s getting my investment

Checkmate, liberals!
