What if I was wrong in believing the bright side never got dull?
I realize now the beauty in the Emerald Pool
the surface is calm and still like a perfect home but
every home has cracks to fill


Familiar waters rushing in, indifference swept me under
Does it carry me or do I sink my feet firm into the sand?
When will I learn this comfort is not mine to deify?
Cauterize and tie, pour cement inside, concrete as my blood
Sewn feet to the carpet I stand and watch my bed
Walked for days and left nothing and felt nothing

To be stone
to be clear
to be nowhere near
to finally disappear

What if I don′t know when I smile with no regret?
When I came to water and swam around in it?
Rest my head on something soft for a change?
Maybe it's supposed to be this way
