We strive to make our gods in flesh
Engineered in bio-labs
Our gods will suit our purposes
And sacrifice the causes of unrest

We slowly build our cataracts
To wipe out evil visions, oh
Abominations of the soul
Cut out like the venom of a snake


Our weapons turn to artifacts
And spores of our derision
Desecration shall inhibit
As we dream what perfect future we shall make

Yet dreams are flawed and never speak
It seems the raw, demonic weakness, oh
Poisons every structure and belief
That we are yet to comprehend

But nonetheless we must believe
That someday we can rise above
The instincts that created us
And drove us to our impulse to descend
