Once I was born
It was back when I was very young
It seems to me it was the year before I first turned to one
There′s something freezing at my heels
That I don't care to know
And it may be that I′m reaching
Absolute zero
Wrote a poem
Sent it all the way from home
Said I felt a little vacant Just like standing all alone
I sang a song
A song that wasn't hardly long
But by the time the tune was done
The whole crowd had up and gone
