Across white capped waves
Through time they slip

Mariners failing, falling ill
The vessel′s adrift
In pelagic swill
Hull pounded, sails are ripped
Abrupt calm brings silence
Entering deep mist
In the soupy skies
Leviathans slither and twist


Passengers trapped in their biology
Controlled by an alien force
Slipping through its chronology
Shaken by the horror of its course

Revenants stand stoic
Mariners leap into the sea
Seized, ophidiophobic
A sense of apogee
Obsidian seas swallow
Simultaneously
Beings weak and sallow
Regain their potency
