Steel split the dawn as they came through the trees
No warning no mercy just slaughter and screams
Mothers impaled on the altar of birth
Batak was drowned in the blood of the earth

Cries from the womb silenced too soon
Torn from the flesh neath the heretic moon
Weeping eyes stared into flame
And prayed to a god who never came


Where was he the so called light
As children burned in holy night
The church collapsed the heavens black
And nothing wept for cursed Batak

We saw no angels heard no hymns
Only butchered saints and severed limbs
The steeple fell like a twisted horn
A cradle scorched a nation torn

What god lets infants bleed like this
What shepherd feeds the abyss
He turned his face or was never there
Only ash remains and sulfur air


Batak a shrine of silent screams
No heaven answered those shattered dreams
So carve these verses deep in stone
The cross was empty and hell stood alone
