Though not necessarily as they happened
More like the filmic version of it

Painting pictures, writing songs
But it's such a different world these days

No negativity′s allowed now
Everybody′s working on their personal brand
Even I, I've been told sometimes

Too many people trying to hold you down
Drag you to their fighting ground
And try to tell you you must fail
Just like them
